What I Like About Being a Kid Missionary
"I like being an kid missionary because I can witness firsthand just how God works. It is so much fun to see how much of an impact He can make. For example, my church, Gospel Life, started with about 30 people having services in an apartment. Then we had to move into a large tent because we did not have enough room for everybody. By this time, we had about 70 attending. We held services in the tent while during the week volunteers from our church, who knew something about building, dug and laid the foundation. When they finished the basement, the church moved into it. By then we had about 120 attending. The workers are almost entirely made up of church volunteers. Many have given time, efforts, and money to help make this happen. Even unbelievers have given. For example; a business man from Russia came once, and liked it so much that he donated the effort and money to put very expensive, shiny glass on the front of the building. Altogether the effort and glass cost $25,000. It has been very cool to see a church get started. My dad says that the church’s financial state is just like manna. God provides just enough money for each step. Gospel Life now has about 250 people coming every Sunday, and it’s still growing. It is really cool to see all the things that are happening and I really LOVE being an kid missionary."
