Romania

We have been in Romania for over a week.  A couple of things impress me.  The desire to have a children's ministry is strong among a few, but only a few.  Many who are interested do  not know what to do or where  to begin.  Another thing that impresses me is the number of orphan children in Romania.  I was told by a reliable source that some parents will deform a child when it is born so that when they beg, they can receive more money because their baby is deformed.  How sad and overwhelming!  Romania is very beautiful in the countryside.  Many churches are doing a great work of reaching people for Christ.  I have been able to preach in 3 churches and train children's workers in a number of different  churches.  We have also helped in after school care for children, been to  the orphanage, led a youth Bible study, and sat in on a ESL (English as a Second Language) class.  Last night, I spoke from Numbers 16 for ABWE Romania (North) team devotins.  God has been very good.
